How We Select Service Providers
Huntsville Stripe Pros connects property owners in Huntsville, Madison, Decatur, Athens, and the surrounding North Alabama region with local parking lot striping contractors. This page describes the standards and criteria we use — or aim to use — when evaluating contractors before routing leads to them.
Transparency in the lead-generation process matters. When a property owner submits a quote request, they're trusting that we'll connect them with a contractor capable of doing the job well. These are the standards that guide that decision.
Core Qualification Criteria
Before routing leads to a local contractor, we evaluate or verify the following where practicable:
- Commercial striping experience. The contractor should have relevant experience performing commercial parking lot striping, restriping, ADA marking installation, and pavement markings — not just residential driveway or sports court work. Commercial projects involve different equipment, layout planning, traffic management, and volume than residential work.
- Service capability for the full scope. Contractors in our network should be capable of handling the core services offered through this site: parking lot striping, restriping, ADA accessible markings, directional arrows and stencils, curb painting, and warehouse floor striping. A contractor who can only handle one service type limits our ability to match them to the variety of requests we receive.
- Defined service area. The contractor must serve the geographic area where the requesting property is located. We don't route leads to contractors who cannot realistically travel to the project site or who do not have an established presence in the service area.
- Insurance documentation. Contractors should carry appropriate general liability insurance for commercial work. Property owners may wish to request current certificates of insurance before signing any project agreement. We encourage contractors to maintain and provide documentation when requested.
- Professional estimate process. A qualified contractor should be able to provide a clear, written scope of work and a price estimate — not just a verbal number over the phone. We prefer contractors who take the time to assess the project thoroughly before quoting.
- Commercial references or verifiable project history. We prefer contractors who can demonstrate prior commercial work through references, photos, or documented project history. Portfolio examples from comparable property types (retail centers, churches, apartment complexes, warehouses) in the North Alabama area carry particular weight.
- Call handling and communication quality. How a contractor handles an initial estimate call directly reflects the experience the property owner will have throughout the project. Contractors who respond promptly, communicate clearly, and handle questions professionally are more likely to deliver a good project outcome.
- Safety practices. Commercial striping projects often require working in active parking lots, managing traffic, and handling paint equipment safely. Contractors should have appropriate traffic-control plans and safe work practices for on-site operations.
Our Ongoing Evaluation Process
Contractor qualification is not a one-time event. After leads are routed, we monitor feedback from property owners and evaluate contractor performance on an ongoing basis. Contractors who receive reports of no-shows, unprofessional conduct, disputed workmanship, or failure to honor quoted pricing will be reviewed and may be removed from the routing network.
Property owners who have feedback — positive or negative — about a contractor interaction following a referral from this site are encouraged to contact us at quotes@huntsvillestripepros.com. This feedback directly informs our provider evaluation.
What We Do Not Guarantee
We make reasonable efforts to route leads to qualified contractors, but we cannot guarantee every outcome. Our evaluation process depends on information contractors provide and on feedback we receive over time. We do not guarantee:
- That all contractors in the network hold current Alabama contractor licenses at all times
- That insurance coverage will be in force at the time of your project
- That a contractor's pricing, availability, or scope assessment will meet your specific expectations
- That completed work will fully meet ADA, fire code, or other local compliance requirements for your specific property
Property owners are ultimately responsible for verifying contractor credentials and compliance obligations before authorizing any work. See our Disclaimer and Terms of Service for the full scope of our limitations.
